Exhaust gas treatment equipment in thermal electric power and incineration plants as an environmental measure is exposed to a severely corrosive environment. Specifically, exhaust gas treatment equipment such as dust collectors, gas ducts and stacks is exposed to low temperature, causing dew-point corrosion due to sulfuric acid, etc. Thus, corrosion resistant material is urgently required in this area.

We have amassed a wealth of data on corrosion resistance of various kinds of steel plates obtained by exposure tests on exhaust gas equipment for thermal electric power and environmental plants.
From it, we have confirmed that CR1A and CR11 steel plates are economical and have properties capable of reducing the corrosion rate and preventing rust from scattering.
