Depending on the tank contents and design pressure, various steel plates are used. Those which have been chiefly manufactured recently are steel plates for low temperature tanks such as 9% Ni steel plates for LNG, aluminum-killed steel plates for tankers carrying a mixed cargo of ammonium and LPG. We are also ready to provide in a short time some new types of steel plates to which TMCP (thermo-mechanical control process) is applied instead of conventional heat treatment.
