1. Standards for Hydrogen Induced Cracking Resistant Steel CR5 (1) Applicable Steel Plates Steels CR5, where treatments against HIC are given to 40 and 50 kg/mm2 class steels, are shown in the following Table.
(2) Chemical Composition Subject to the corresponding material specification for the steel plate concerned. However, since infinitesimal amount of elements is added to CR5 as a treatment against HIC, the followings are specified in product analysis.
(3) Mechanical Properties Subject to the material specification for the steel plate concerned. (4) Heat Treatment In principle, the plate is subject to normalizing. Upon request, mechanical properties specified in the material specification of the steel plate concerned are guaranteed by applying heat treatment to specimens (for example, PWT). |
