 Railway products
We supply almost 100% of the wheels and axles for JR and private railway companies in Japan. Recently, we have successfully developed and marketed the "Active Suspension" system which provides the improved ride comfort on the Shinkansen bullet trains. This system has been extensively installed in the Tohoku Shinkansen bullet train "Hayate", which shows one of good examples of our excellent technical achievements.

Automobile and construction products
Our forged crankshafts are highly appreciated by many automotive manufacturers and other customers in the world. We have now 5 die-forging process lines in Osaka, including the world-largest 16,000-ton press line. In addition to the 6,500-ton press line, we installed the most advanced 5,000-ton press line in 2001, to meet the increasing demand of forged crankshafts for smaller cars.
In the U.S.A., our subsidiary ICI (International Crankshaft Inc.) has 2 press lines and is the top manufacturer of forged crankshafts there. In China, where the automotive industry is significantly expanding, we have established Huizhou Sumikin Forging Corporation with Sumitomo Corporation and Thyssen-Krupp, in Huizhou, Kwangtung province, and started manufacturing forged crankshafts in 2004. With these three sites of operations in Japan, the U.S.A., and China, we are now one of the global suppliers of forged crankshafts for automotive manufacturers.

Industrial equipment and mechanical parts
We supply a variety of products such as die and mold materials, flanges for steel towers, rolls and VC rolls for rolling mills, as well as aluminum wheels and permanent-magnet type retarders for trucks and buses.
