We built a plant for exclusive gear-manufacturing in 1919, and manufactured gears for various machines and railway trains, as gears for nose-suspension drives for railway trains, until the early 1950s. Then we started manufacturing parallel cardan and perpendicular cardan driving units, and since then have been consistently engaged in the design and manufacture of driving units and gear couplings for railway trains. Currently, our products are well accepted and employed by clients of the Shinkansen bullet train and so on, as well as domestic and overseas clients. This is thanks to our original design incorporating measures for high performance, solid construction and easy maintenance, as well as our use of high-quality manufacturing technologies and facilities.

Features

[ Optimum design ]: Responding to our clients' applications and on the basis of our long-term experience and performance, we can offer the total design of components and parts including gears, gear cases and bearings. Especially in recent years, new types of trains such as the Shinkansen bullet train are built to run at higher speeds. To respond to these requirements we are applying our utmost effort to incorporate more lightweight, soundproof and safe performances into our development and designs.
[ Superior testing facility ]: We are equipped with a rotation routine testing machine as well as various other types of testing machines such as a high-speed rotational load test machine which is exclusive for driving units, rotational test machines in room temperature and a sharp acceleration test machine in cold temperature and a coupling swaying loaded test machine. This means that we can offer the most appropriate assessment and evaluation results.
[ High-level manufacturing technologies and facilities as well as a consistent quality control system ]: We are also equipped with a steel mill facility, forging and heat treatment facilities as well as gear machining and grinding facilities for the supply of various types of high-quality gears under a consistent quality control system. In addition, our gear cases are machined with very high accuracy, then assembled and inspected in a dust-proof room equipped with various apparatus under a strict control system.
