Sumitomo Metals has for many years consigned important manufacturing processes at each works to cooperating companies, and the strong partnerships we have constructed with a number of first tier cooperating companies are a valuable organizational asset. To ensure that there are no issues that might violate relevant laws (such as so-called "subcontractor bullying" or "fraudulent subcontracting"), we are continually optimizing and improving our subcontracting agreements. At the same time, we are aiming to contribute to local communities and society by working with our cooperating companies under the principle of mutual cooperation to achieve manufacturing that is of true benefit to society and to ensure safe workplace environments.
