To achieve this goal, we believe sustained growth that balances quality and scale is essential. “Intangible assets” such as technology, people, and organization are all critical elements to raise the quality of Sumitomo Metals.

Each controlling division creates an annual plan and sets targets for each CSR activity area, and has responsibility for carrying them out. The CSR Committee comes together in May of each year to check and trace the accomplishments of the previous fiscal year and form plans for the current fiscal year in order to identify new issues and make continual improvements to our CSR activities.
