Working to ensure a respect for human rights throughout the Group
Sumitomo Metals is pledged to respect basic human rights, to give due attention to the rights of workers, and to eliminate the use of forced and child labor. Centered on the Company Discrimination and Human Rights Committee that was established in 1979, employees at all levels undergo annual training related to human rights as we conduct activities for human rights education throughout the Group.
